Hi, my name is Dennis Rootes, Past Master of Orange Grove Lodge #293, here in sunny Southern California. When I became a Master Mason back in 2008, there weren’t any cool masonic designs, or at least none that I’d ever seen. It was all the same stuff, a square and compass on a baseball hat, or a t-shirt, or your lodge name embroidered on a polo shirt. Pretty tame I thought.
I wanted to create something different, something unique that would spark a conversation between masons and non-masons alike, and that’s how HiramAttire was born. Unfortunately, it took me quite a few years before I started working on it. Part of that was because the entire concept took form in my mind slowly, and the other part was that I had no free time since I was in the progressive line.
Fast forward to the end of 2015 and my term as master was nearly complete. With things winding down I decided it was a good time to start since I was sure I’d have some free time coming up. =)
That’s how the logo came about. HiramAttire is a play on the name of our Grand Master Hiram of Tyre and seeing as how I was Master of my lodge at the time, the top hat seemed like the perfect logo.
I hope you will enjoy these designs today, as well as the ones I will be creating in the future. If you have any questions or comments please don’t hesitate to contact me.
